A Cairn
not to some dead man
or animal
but to the death
of the land.
The rocks are considered
USE-less
mindless certainly,
only fit for moving
carelessly
onto the mound of land
no longer deemed desirable.
A cairn
to what once was
a memory
of the majesty of life
