Thundering Rangi nui (Sky)
joining with his wife through
fingers of rain
so heavy
If I step outside a moment
would be enough to be soaked
through to my bones
Brilliant flashes of light
throwing energy at Papa tuanuku (Earth)
fertilising her
and then the roar
shaking my house
suddenly so helpless is the human
against the great power of nature
I am at peace here in the energy
Wish I was at the beach, moana nui
watching it all unfold
4 seconds for the lightening to the
Claps!
the great rejoicing
my heart rejoices too
knowing this,
this is all I need to know
